Wrenegade Made

An avian twist on the most peaceable definition of renegade, the Wrenegades are rebels, rising against convention to give new life to old objects and promote curiosity, enchantment, and a sense of nature stewardship. Incorporating nature, recycling, upcycling, and sustainable materials when possible, the Wrenegades have a strong environmental ethic and a deep commitment to living and working in ways that support the natural world and the systems that support all life. Standing up for what they believe in through creativity and partnership, Kim and Sarah hope you can find the magic in their wares and discover something that speaks to you or someone you love.

Who are the Wrenegades?

Sarah Hatfield

Sarah has spent the majority of her life in northwestern Pennsylvania, with brief stints in the center of the state, South Carolina, and four years in the Finger Lakes region of New York while attending Wells College. Working for three different nature centers helped her develop a passion for nature-based education and experiences, a strong land ethic, and an affinity for all things natural.

Sarah has a soft spot for chickens, a (perhaps unhealthy) attraction to Lego, and prefers to write with a dip fountain pen.

Kim Turner

Kim spent her formative years in western New York. After moving to the Midwest, where she attended graduate school and taught as an adjunct instructor through various states, she realigned her life priorities and moved to northwestern Pennsylvania. A career shift landed her a job at a nature center where she reignited her passion for wildlife and nature. A decade later, she is focusing on combining the inspiration and knowledge from her previous careers in art and nature education to fuel her creative interests with hopes of inspiring curiosity and admiration for the planet we call home.

Kim is a dog mom of three, loves adding to her library of creative mediums, and is often heard listening to epic film scores.
