Lifelong learners are often my favorite students; curious, engaged, and excited to continue their education. I myself am a lifelong learner. The Art of Botanical Drawing and Painting: Co-taught with Ruby Andromeda Miller

This three session long workshop was inspired by Agathe Ravet-Haevermans' book, The Art of Botanical Drawing. Starting with drawing basics the first session, then advancing into basic watercolor techniques, and by the third session, we pulled it all together to complete a basic watercolor study from life. This crash course was mostly a lesson on seeing, drawing/painting from life takes a lot of practice, but students left with a basic understanding of site measuring, perspective, relations, light/shadow, and color theory.
