Over the summer I was lucky enough to be invited by Edward Bernstein to have two of my artist books exhibited overseas as part of Pardononelegge, in Pordenone, Italy. My books, along with other's, were shown in La Roggia. Although, sadly, I could not attend the event myself, photos have been passed on to those of us that could not make the trek.
The books I included were A Boy and His Boat and Field Studies.
A Boy and His Boat is composed completely of illustrations that were then turned into cyanotype photograms. The visual narrative depicts a young boy's exploration at sea and the encounters that he has with the wildlife of the water.
Field Studies is a compilation of drawings, digital transparency positives, cyanotypes, and found objects. This piece was displayed on the desk in my Mnemonic Amalgamation installation. You can see the page by page flip through here.
