A friend of mine shared this article and I couldn't help but store it here for future reference and to share it with anyone that may stumble across this post.
So there is some unknown insect (they are assuming it's an insect, and I think it is too) that is creating these beautifully intricate miniature monument style webbings. The tiny monument is surrounded by what looks like a little round fence. No one seems to know what is creating these little masterpieces, and I sure do hope that this isn't just a hoax by the man that discovered them. Go check out more here.
Going off of this, other insects, such as Cyclosa spiders, are known to build elaborate "sculptures." I find this deeply interesting. Although they most likely do it as a decoy to aid in survival, it is pretty incredible. Little insect artists! I love it!
