Last summer I had the chance to take a few days off of building the apartment and course planning to go visit a great friend of mine, Gillen, in Philadelphia. During my visit I was lucky enough to experience This is Hardcore, The Mütter Museum, The Barnes Foundation, the Magic Gardens, and a great little shop called Requiem Curiosity Shop (which has since closed, sadly).
While browsing through the little curiosity shop I fell in love with many items, most of which I could not afford. Then I came across a basket of taxidermy ducklings, the cutest bundle of taxidermy ever. I wanted to bring them all home with me, but could only afford one.
(Note* all of the ducklings were from a farm in PA and died of natural causes. The shop owner did the taxidermy herself. I would not purchase a duckling killed solely for sales purposes.)
Today I finally got around to giving the little duckling a home outside of a cardboard box and newspaper.
Sadly, I somehow forgot to pack my camera which is why I hadn't made a post on this before. Thankfully Gillen let me use his phone when we were out and about together, so here are a few other shots from that great weekend!
